I didn’t follow a traditional path into design, I followed the quiet pull of purpose.

For years, I worked in the corporate world, clocking in, showing up, and doing the job. But behind the scenes, I was always creating. Designing event posters. Illustrating for school projects. Crafting logos for friends. Sharing stories through visuals in any way I could. It was in those in-between hours where I felt most alive, when I was designing not just to impress, but to connect.

Over time, I noticed a pattern: brilliant, capable entrepreneurs who had so much heart and value to offer… but were hiding behind outdated visuals, inconsistent branding, and websites that didn’t do their work justice. Their confidence dimmed, not because they lacked talent, but because their brand didn’t reflect who they really were.

That’s when everything shifted.

Because I sensed my purpose pulling me, I stepped away from the familiar path and fully embraced the world of design, not just to create pretty things, but to help people feel proud of how they show up online. I launched The Hanmae Studio as a creative space built on intention, trust, and storytelling.

Today, I help mission-driven founders build brands that feel like home, through unified visual identities, strategic websites, social media content, and illustrations that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful.
